The Modified Pivot Transfer

http://bit.ly/1PkdT5q This video gives you the instructions to do a stand pivot transfer. Some would call it a "squat pivot" transfer, but I just call it the modified stand pivot. You can use this particular technique when you're transferring from bed to wheelchair or from wheelchair to bedside commode. Really it can be used from any seated surface to another seated surface. This is a more effective and safer technique in my opinion because the person doing the transfer has a lower risk of falling and it is really simple to perform. One of the highlights of this particular technique is that it eliminates the need for a walker and it also eliminates the need to take any steps. This is important if the patient is weak or in pain, or, just is fearful of falling. http://bit.ly/1PN5sRJ http://bit.ly/1PkdT5s http://bit.ly/1PN5sRL http://bit.ly/1PkdUGD https://twitter.com/TheHomePT http://bit.ly/1PN5qco
